Yesterday the "Jazz Rascals" played the Canam Jazz Festival in Sarnia Ontario, the gig was held at the Holiday Inn and featured several bands playing all genres of jazz. Although the band was called the "Jazz Rascals" David (Sousaphone and myself on cornet were augmented by several excellent musicians - Joe Edmonds on trombone, Andy Lusher - soprano sax, Jim Winter - piano and Johnny Bond on drums.
The hall which held 300 - 400 fans was full and our group (the only dixieland group) was enthusiastically received. All in all a great gig.
